Be sure to put CYTL on top of your watch list.

CYTL is only in the development stage, but it looks very promising. This will be one company to keep a close eye on, even though it`s extremely speculative and risky.

Efforts by Congress to implement online piracy laws such as SOPA have gained enormous opposition from many giant websites including Google, Yahoo, and Wikipedia. SOPA is extremely controversial and many fear it will do more harm than good.

CYTL has a joint venture with another company and is developing a solution that could be the answer to online piracy. Proposed laws like SOPA may not be needed at all!

CYTL is focused on converting piracy to revenue by identifying individuals who download adult content illegally, and then converts them to paying customers. Its proprietary, automated system identifies infringers, sends them notices of their illegal use, and then employs a proven system to collect payments on behalf of the copyright holders.

CYTL combines four key capabilities:

1) Ability to provide constant surveillance;

2) Capacity to monitor a huge volume of transactions in real time;

3) Ability to reduce false-positives and false-negatives in identifying end-users;

4) Platform scalability to allow for future innovations and client needs.

CYTL and its core engineering team have worked on anti-piracy solutions for more than a decade and have helped write content copyright protection laws and regulations, as well as the technology. The Company`s staff has had first-hand engineering experience with taking down some of the largest, most influential pirate markets online and bringing them to trial!

Unfortunately anti-piracy efforts performed until today have not been efficient and have not saved or helped industries convert the end-user infringer to customer. Litigation has not worked well up to now and a "second wave" of litigation may result in the same public image damage and perceptions as it predecessor. The reality is that piracy of copyrighted content is increasing along with bandwidth and broadband expansion. Litigation risks alienating customers and creates negative public relations, but does nothing to slow down the growth of piracy or illegal downloading.

Even though some of the largest, most influential online pirates have been brought to trial and millions of the now common DMCA notices have been sent, online piracy is still climbing.

While other vendors have offered anti-piracy efforts and traditional DMCA notices, CYTL provides unsurpassed volume scaling and unlimited website monitoring, bundled with automated take-down notices and legal processing. Additionally, CYTL`s systems work seamlessly with ISPs to drive transition from infringer to paying customer.

Piracy has taken a great toll on both the music and movie industry.

The music industry in the US in 1999 (its peak) was at $14.4 billion. Today it makes about $6.3 billion. That`s less than half of what it was roughly twelve years ago.

Piracy may not be the sole reason for this decline but it does play a part. Downloading just one song may not feel like a big crime was committed, but imagine millions of people downloading a song. The impact can be huge!

The Motion Picture Association of America estimates that piracy costs the U..S. movie industry some $20.5 billion per year!

CYTL is creating a real opportunity to solve this problem in another industry so that it doesn`t face the same fate the music and movie industry has. Beta testing has demonstrated that when CYTL respectfully calls their attention to their infraction and offers a discreet, affordable system for obtaining the content legally, many infringers are actually willing to comply!
