Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Is Already Recovering

The news of the Brexit has caused quite an uproar, and not the least of its consequences was the turmoil that ensued in the announcements’ wake. Many international tech-giants, such as Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) were hit hard – and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is no exception.

Still, although AMZN share prices staggered back a step, the company itself seems to be rolling along just fine – and the news coming from it seems to indicate that it is carrying on according to schedule undisturbed.

On Monday, AMZN announced the launch of its Inspire service, which is to give K-12 teachers free access to a wide range of resources for classroom instruction as well as all sorts of learning materials. As per the company’s announcement, the goal of the service itself is admirable – to quickly and easily put the best and most trusted digital resources at teachers’ disposal.

Still, while this sort of move seems like a great idea and certainly wins AMZN points in the philanthropy department, that’s not all that the company did lately – and the rest of its activities seem to be more relevant by far.

It has been obvious for some time now that AMZN has decided to make serious push on the Asian front, and CEO Jeff Bezos’s announcement earlier this month, that the company will be committing an additional $3 billion to its India operations more than confirmed that this is indeed the case.

AMZN taking its total committed capital investment in India to $5 billion is a serious move – but then, we already knew that the company was serious when it forced its Indian competitor down the rank of most visited with more than 60 million user visits per month in the last six moths.

Now, AMZN has launched its Asia Pacific Region in Mumbai. With this latest launch, AMZN now provides 35 Availability Zones across 13 technology infrastructure regions globally. As announced by Business Wire, More than 75,000 India-based customers are already using other AWS Regions to save costs, accelerate innovation, speed time-to-market, and expand their reach.

With this in mind, it’s no wonder to see AMZN already starting to recover in today’s early trading.
