Bediba Beverage Company (OTCMKTS:BBDA) Surges On Record Volumes

[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]We haven’t covered the stock of Bediba Beverage Company (OTCMKTS:BBDA) for more than a year now and there is a reason for this. The ticker is very thinly traded and rarely registers daily dollar volumes above $10 thousand.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]One such moment was last month. After hitting a bottom of $0.0002 on May 11 [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] issued a press release right as the market opened the next day. It announced that the company has reduced its outstanding share count by 75 million after recovering and retiring nearly 10 percent of the company stock.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The effect was instantaneous and we saw [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] surge, gaining a massive 350% over the course of a single session. The volume also increased significantly, but the low price per share managed to provide for only $70 thousand in daily trade value.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The excitement, however, was shortlived and [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] returned to sliding. After almost reaching rock bottom once again we saw the company stock finish last week in the green. This week also started well for [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA,[[tagnumber 7]] despite the lack of press releases. Still, the volumes were low.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]That was until yesterday when the company announced that another 43 million shares were retired. [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] shot up and reached a daily high of $0.0017, but the heavy buying pushed it lower and it closed the session with a 20% gain at $0.0006. A total of 158 million traded shares generated $136 thousand in daily dollar volume.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]There are, however, some very serious red flags surrounding the company. [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] CEO, Mr. Brian Weber stated that the company stock was “[[tagnumber 34]]currently undervalued[[tagnumber 35]]” in the most recent press release. Another statement of his is – “[[tagnumber 34]]I personally see the growth and sign the agreements that will ultimately make Bediba Beverage Company one of the best Micro Cap stories of this decade[[tagnumber 35]]”.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Some strong words, but we really think that when he expresses such a confidence in his company’s success he should also focus on some important things. Like filing your financial reports in time so that the investor community can also “[[tagnumber 34]]see the growth[[tagnumber 35]]”[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] is marked as OTC Pink Limited Information. The latest filing covered the period ended December 31, 2014 and it showed some pretty concerning numbers when it comes to share issuance. The report shows that a total of [[tagnumber 6]]530,446,954 shares were issued to JSJ Investments Inc. as a $188,500 debt reduction[[tagnumber 7]]. Another [[tagnumber 6]]252,500,000 shares were issued to Cutting Edge Business Services for $15,000[[tagnumber 7]].[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]A quick calculation shows that the 252,500,000 shares that saw the light of day were priced at just [[tagnumber 6]]$0.000059[[tagnumber 7]] (yes, those are actually four zeroes). The shares received by JSJ Investments Inc. were priced at [[tagnumber 6]]$0.00035[[tagnumber 7]] per pop. On the bright side, [[tagnumber 6]]BBDA[[tagnumber 7]] performed a 100 for 1 reverse split in the end of the year.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Still, we wonder if the outstanding share count listed in Google Finance and the OTC markets is correct. OTC markets lists the O/S count at 287 million while Google Finance puts it at 173 million. Both of these numbers seem a bit small considering that a total of 158 million shares changed their owners yesterday.[[tagnumber 2]]
