Paid, Inc. (OTCMKTS:PAYD) Recovers on Positive Financials, Conference Presentations

Paid, Inc. (OTCMKTS:PAYD) was one of those stocks that slumped in the weak summer months, only to recover in the fall, and find itself at a fresh peak. The ticker opened up on Friday, and on Thursday added more than 13% to stand at $0.179. Trading volumes were above $359,000, picking up in the past few days. We still don’t have a record of a paid promotion for those shares, but the pickup follows the financial result announcement, and a new 8-K statement. PAYD1213.png

The 8-K is more curious, holding an announcement that PAYD would be presenting to an investors’ conference, LD Micro Conference in San Francisco. Those events usually pay out with increased interest and buying, as the company makes its case in detail to a new crop of eager investors. VEND1213.png

The quarterly report also holds positives, such as a small increase in revenues to $1.11 million from $1.06 million in June 2013. The company is also profitable for the first time in a while, with $127 million net gain, following $81,000 net loss for the preceding quarter. So while investors abandoned it for a while, PAYD was expanding and improving a bit.

PAYD is one of those companies that can stage a positive recovery, due to the nature of its business, payment processing. In the past days, online financial systems are an often-seen business model among penny stocks, and one that promises a better cash flow and continuing operations. Thus, the company holds:

  • $668, 500 cash
  • $2.9 million total assets
  • $1.3 million total current liabilities

As it is easily seen, PAYD is still managing to be ahead of its expenses, and may hold longer-term promise.

PAYD is at a much lower price, but there are other tickers that seemingly had everything going right- only to drop in price. Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTCBB:VEND) is now deepening the slide, toward $1.68 when only weeks ago the shares were seen climbing easily above $4.

And Vuzix, Corp. (OTCBB:VUZI) has all the right news, though the market easily chews through those and days of gaining are shortly followed by fast profit-taking. Still, VUZI is making its way upward, though hampered.

If you still believe PAYD may make an even stronger return, keep in mind that tickers often go down fast from temporary peaks.
