Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals Inc (OTCMKTS:RCPI) Climbing The Charts

[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]After a long period of sliding we saw the stock of Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals Inc (OTCMKTS:RCPI) get delisted from the NASDAQ national exchange recently. The result was expected and we saw the ticker quickly lose value on decent volumes.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Since then, however, we have seen [[tagnumber 6]]RCPI[[tagnumber 7]] make an attempt at recovering and the volumes seem to be becoming more consistent. Meanwhile, the company hasn’t been too busy issuing press releases. It did, however, file its report for the third quarter of the year which contained the following numbers.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 11]] [[tagnumber 12]]cash: $146 thousand[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]current assets: $996 thousand[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]current liabilities: $11.18 million[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]revenues: ZERO[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]net loss: $2.84 million[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 22]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]We see that [[tagnumber 6]]RCPI[[tagnumber 7]] has lost quite a lot of the cash it had on hand, while still being unable to start generating revenues. That, however, isn’t stopping [[tagnumber 6]]RCPI[[tagnumber 7]] from climbing the charts recently. The most recent session saw the ticker gain 16.67% in value and close at $0.91 while a total of 216 thousand traded shares generated $193 thousand in daily dollar volume.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Meanwhile, there is nothing that can explain the upward movement of the ticker. There are no press releases, no promotional emails. It appears that [[tagnumber 6]]RCPI[[tagnumber 7]] is moving on its own. Many investors reckon that it is a promising company that can go back to trading on a national exchange, so this isn’t such a big surprise.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Still, that isn’t reason enough for you to skip doing your due diligence and weighing out the risks before putting any money on the line.[[tagnumber 2]]
