Vidaroo Corp. (OTCMKTS:VIDA) Wrestles with One-cent Levels

The mission in May: to emerge from double-zero bottom again, and reach as high as possible. For Vidaroo Corp. (OTCMKTS:VIDA) the highest so far is a cent, and the stock’s trend was bucked by Friday’s correction. Last trading session, VIDA fell back, losing nearly 12% to $0.0097. VIDA0603.png

The latest movements of VIDA may be ascribed to press releases and short-term interest in a cheap stock. Otherwise, the promotional campaign for VIDA is a bit stale, with the last email from Wall Street Buzz dated back to April 5th. The message managed to keep VIDA for a while near $0.015, but quickly after the ticker plunged below a cent. CNTO0603.png

A press release from May 17th may have helped the levels. VIDA, a software company offering a platform for video streaming, recently announced a partnership with Skynet Technology Group to provide video sharing services.

The pink sheet is somehow wobbly financially, showing:

  • $68,000 cash as of June 2012
  • $890,000 total liabilities
  • $1.7 million annual revenues
  • $412,000 net gain for 2012

The latest results were only achieved on extraordinary items, while past years ended with deep net losses. The results are outdated and the OTC profile holds a warning for incomplete filings. The newest developments are still hidden, and we don’t know if the software is making it. Still, yet another video streaming approach may be too much, and it needs to compete with already existing platforms.

The pumper, Wall Street Buzz, encourages fast trades with VIDA. And no wonder, given that the pumper has moved on fast as well, leaving the stock to linger and do on its own. The new pick for this promoter is Centor, Inc. (OTCBB:CNTO), a ticker jumping out of almost no activity. So far the stock has held up, but the past three days form a minor slide and it is unknown what may happen to this ticker without the boost from a promotion. The last email for CNTO came on May 29th.

While CNTO trades in a more respectable range, between 30 and 89 cents, VIDA keeps its risky and accessible profile and with refresher press releases the fun may continue, given that volumes are still relatively active. But with new promotions getting prepared for a new month, VIDA may sink to the background. Stay away from tickers like these unless you can afford the inevitable deep corrections.
