Alkalline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER) Sold Despite Stock Junction Mails

While days of correction are in the minority for Alkalline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER), they were to be expected, and now WTER has fallen again to selling, for the fourth time since the beginning of its active promotion. The stock went down more than 9% to 57 cents on selling volumes above $500,000. WTER0828.png

WTER suffers from a typical penny stock malaise- when the PR messages dry up, the stock is no longer interesting. And for this ticker, there is an ongoing email promotion, with the last email coming in on Tuesday. The total promotional budget grew a bit, to $55,000. The latest email came in from The Stock Junction, which received $25,000 for its promotional efforts. The paying party is Winning Media. ARTH0828.png

On its own, WTER seems determined to continue its distribution efforts, and it is equipped to do so with:

  • $384,700 cash
  • $580,662 total assets
  • $37,762 total liabilities
  • No revenues
  • $70,131 net loss

The next few days will show if pumpers are still optimistic enough to pick up this ticker. So far, the stock’s gains have not been phenomenal, although the past month is marked with significant buying. And some of that buying may transform into selling if investors lose patience and try to realize gains.

If we speak of distribution efforts, perhaps the biggest contender is Montalvo Spirits, Inc. (OTCBB:TQLA), the spirits compTQLA0828.pngany that expands its supermarket outreach. Still, the main factor for TQLA was a combination of promotional emails and a paper mailer, which lifted the ticker to above $1, but soon after TQLA descended to 39 cents on a brief, but deep period of selling.

Another red flag is the fact that The Stock Junction took part in the hype for Arch Therapeutics, Inc. (OTCBB:ARTH), the medical company that was lifted to $1.30 on a loud promotion, only to end up crashing and trailing at 36 cents.

If you still think WTER can recover as after other days of selling, it is still best to be prepared for losses. While the ticker may hang around for the longer term, once the promotion is silent for a few days, selling may settle for longer.
