Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTCBB:VEND) Attempts Climb with Fresh PR

Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTCBB:VEND) managed a minor upward turn, facing the new week in a shaky situation. VEND had several days of a deep fallout, as the promotional effect wore out and skepticism crept in. Still, at the end-of-week session, VEND added more than 13% to stand at $2.12 on slim dollar volumes around $132,000. VEND1202.png

Now, VEND tries to further buck the red trend by coming up with a new PR just before markets reopen on Monday after a long weekend, betting on extraordinary enthusiasm. The firm claims November is its highest sales month in 2013, with 57 new machines leased in franchise agreements. It is strange that in the next paragraph, VEND claims it’s all about 59 machines, but nevertheless, the hype may work in the short term. WTER1202.png

But no matter how many machines VEND secures throughout Texas and other states- selling snacks will hardly offset the giant market cap of above $53 million. The current price of VEND is highly disproportionate, inviting short sellers and profit realizing.

In short, VEND is highly unlikely to survive at the current price range, and wait out until a government push is made to require only health-food vending near schools and other institutions. For now, email promoters have given up on VEND, with no new messages since November 19th.

A similar story was ran by The Alkaline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER), with stories upon stories of successful distribution. After the initial fallout from the promotions, WTER slid down to lower ranges and survived relatively well, with some weekly gains. WTER sometimes added as much as 25% a week. For a while, WTER sank below the 30-cent level, but is now back in the 30-to-40 cents range, generally drifting sideways.

GrillIT, Inc. (OTCMKTS:GRLT) boasted of all its potential restaurant locations, but after the initial hype was lost, the ticker slid to below the dollar levels, drifting sideways as well, though with a gradual downward pressure. GRLT slid down to 92 cents on weakened trading volumes.

If you still believe VEND can have positive days, keep in mind that the price is still high and the downward pressure significant. Monday has to check the effect of the new PR, but the coming week may deal out more punishment for this stock.
