[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]MabVax Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (OTCMKTS:MBVX) has had a pretty decent trading year so far. Back in the beginning of March the ticker was traded around the $1 per share mark, but by the middle of the final month of the first quarter we saw the company stock rise significantly.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]After it experienced a little hiccup in the end of March we saw [[tagnumber 6]]MBVX[[tagnumber 7]] return to its upward path and ascent above the $4.5 per share barrier. The volumes back then were pretty impressive, but as we saw the ticker start to deflate so did the trading.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The daily percentile movements in the following months were relatively small and the ticker had lost around 50% of its peak value by the middle of last month. The reason for the initial upward run was pretty clear, but the hype seemed to have been lost.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]For those of you who have forgotten or have not kept an eye on [[tagnumber 6]]MBVX[[tagnumber 7]], Opko Health Inc. (NYSE:OPK) and Dr. Phillip Frost have made a $12 million private placement in the company, adding it to their portfolio.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Recently, it seems that investors have somewhat remembered this fact and we see [[tagnumber 6]]MBVX[[tagnumber 7]] slowly rising up again. Yesterday’s session left the company stock with a 8.62% gain, sitting at $2.52. As further optimistic press releases are coming we also see the volumes increase and yesterday’s 426 thousand traded shares generated $1.02 million in daily trade value.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Today’s session has also started very well and the trading surpasses yesterday’s even hours before the market close. Still, that doesn’t mean that you should skip on doing your due diligence and weighing out the risks before putting any money on the line.[[tagnumber 2]]
