Weak Shorts

The term weak shorts refer to an investor or group of investors who are quick to exit their short positions when the underlying assets gets stronger. Weak shorts tries to capture the profits on a move lower but are usually not willing to take a high level of risk compared to other investors. Unlike other traders, they will also close their positions at the earliest sign that their positions will move against them.
