Accumulation/Distribution

The accumulation/distribution is a momentum indicator that tries to measure demand and supply by figuring out if investors are buying or selling a particular stock. This is usually done by looking at the differences between the stock price and the volume flow. The accumulation/distribution is arrived at by using the following formula: Acc/Dist = ((Close - Low) - (High - Close)) / (High - Low) * Period's volume
