Dividend Reinvestment Plan - DRIP

A dividend reinvestment plan is offered by a company to its investors. The plan allows stockholders to buy additional shares in the company using their dividend payments, effectively reinvesting their dividend earnings and increasing the value of their investments. Dividend reinvestment plans typically allow investors to buy shares at a big discount on the current stock price. It is also generally commission-free.
