Low Volume Pullback

A low volume pullback is a technical correction that goes to an area of support that lies on volume that is below average. The low volume is a sign to traders that the trend will continue and that only weak longs may get a quick profit. If there is a large spike in volume, traders see this as more than normal fluctuations and a sign that the trend will soon reverse. Most traders would then enter a position in a low volume pullback in an attempt to get a profit.
