The price rate of change is a technical indicator that gauges the change between the most recent price and the price at some past period.
The price rate of change is a price momentum indicator and a velocity indicator because it measures the strength of momentum of change or the rate of change.
An upward momentum has a price rate of change value of more than zero, while a value less than zero points to higher selling pressure.
