Technical Indicator

A technical indicator predicts the future price levels or general price trend of a security. The value of a technical indicator is derived from generic price activity in an asset or stock. Common technical indicators include Bollinger Bands, Money Flow Index, Stochastics, Relative Strength Index, and MACD. Technical indicators or technicals do not analyze any other part of the business, unlike other indicators, and are mostly used by active traders and other short-term players. Long-term investors have little use for technical indicators aside from identifying good entry and exit points.
