Thin Market

A thin market or narrow market describes a market with very few traders. Thin market is often characterized by a higher degree of price volatility due to the low number of transactions. Assets in a thin market are also less liquid. This situation of high price volatility and low liquidity makes it vulnerable to material price changes caused by abrupt changes in supply or demand.
