National Association Of Securities Dealers - NASD

The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) was an organization that operated and regulated the Nasdaq and over-the-counter markets. The NASD also administered the Series 7 exam and other similar exams for investment professionals. The NASD was merged with the New York Stock Exchange's regulation committee in 2007, forming the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
