Oversold Penny Stocks

Penny stocks (under $5) with RSI(14) below 30 — the technical definition of oversold. These are setups where price has moved down faster than fundamentals can typically justify, creating asymmetric mean-reversion opportunities.

Our models detected 10 equities meeting the criteria for a RSI oversold signal today, a primary indicator of sustained bullish momentum. At the top of the ranking, Host Digital Inc. (HOST) presents a complex picture — while the RSI oversold signal is confirmed by RSI Oversold, MFI Oversold, the presence of Triple MA Bear suggests the move may lack full conviction. Also noteworthy: Neighborhood Intelligence, Inc. Common Stock (NXH) showing Triple MA Bear, ST Triple Bear, RSI Oversold, MFI Oversold, 52W Breakdown. How to Use Oversold Penny Stocks

RSI(14) below 30 means the average gain over 14 periods is small relative to the average loss — a stock that has fallen fast and hasn't paused. Historically, deeply oversold readings precede 1- to 5-day mean-reversion bounces in most market regimes.

But oversold can stay oversold: a stock in a strong downtrend will hit RSI 25, bounce briefly, fall further, and hit RSI 20. The trade isn't "buy because oversold" — it's "oversold + a reversal trigger." Useful triggers:

  • A hammer, bullish engulfing, or morning-star candle pattern.
  • A positive RSI divergence (see our RSI divergence scan).
  • Break of the down trendline on volume.
  • Volume capitulation (huge volume on the low day, followed by lighter volume).

Indicators Used in This Scan

Relative Strength Index (RSI) measures momentum on a 0–100 scale. Readings above 70 are overbought; below 30 are oversold. RSI between 50 and 70 is the bullish trend zone. Bullish RSI divergence (price makes a lower low while RSI makes a higher low) is one of the more reliable reversal signals, historically 80%+ accuracy in published studies.
